Grant Program Details

The Office for Youth, Department of Communities and Justice (DCJ) is pleased to invite all NSW Local Councils to participate in Youth Week 2027.

The NSW Government is investing up to $500,000 (excl GST) for Youth Week activities and events to support the inclusion and participation of young people including identified priority youth cohorts, primarily aged 12 - 24 years.

The program requires Local Councils to engage directly with young people in the development and delivery of Youth Week activities and events. Councils must involve young people at every stage of the process – from identifying needs and ideas, to developing proposals, delivering projects, and conducting final reviews. This ensures Youth Week activities are responsive, inclusive, and genuinely youth led.

Funding is available for delivery during Youth Week - 7 April to 17 April 2027.

Delivery outside of this period is not eligible for funding under this grant program.
